I'm Dale Uno, otherwise known as "The Happy Plant Lady" (also soon to be known as "The Maggot Lady") because besides providing plant care advice for people who live in Hawaii, I am working to become the premier expert on the care and use of the Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) maggots.

Since I've only recently made a huge leap of faith and am no longer working for my last employer (Growing Creations), I am in the process of changing my website to reflect my new foci: besides BSF maggots, I've been developing a simple, low-cost method of raising vermicasting worms and hope to help folks live more sustainably.
